NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistors characteristics are thermally sensitive semiconductor resistors which show a decrease in resistance as temperature increases. Changes in the resistance of the NTC thermistors can be brought about either externally by a change in ambient temperature or internally by self-heating resulting from a current flowing through the device. The temperature compensation are specifically designed for heating devices (MOSFET or Transformer) as well as the system environment temperature protection. (For example: switching mode power supply application.)
